To Our Friends, both old and new:

On November 5, 2011, Community First Bank of the Heartland and First State Bank of Dix began a partnership that will expand the locations serving Jefferson County.  Community First Bank will now have two locations in Mt. Vernon and locations in Dix, Ina, and Woodlawn.  This partnership will assure a continuation of community banking; delivered by people you know and trust, in a way you have become accustomed to.

I believe community banking is different. Local decisions, local ownership, and commitment to where you work and live are important.  We are not like large corporate bank’s but are in fact your neighbors and friends helping build the Jefferson County Community through Community First Bank by providing loans and deposit products necessary to serve the needs of Mt Vernon, Ina, Dix, and Woodlawn.

I know you have many choices when choosing a bank and we are honored that you have chosen us.  So let me just say “Thank You”.

Community First Bank recently provided lunch to employees, volunteers and residence of Angel's Cove in Mt. Vernon as part of the Bank's "Community Star" program which recognizes local organizations who go above and beyond for the betterment of Jefferson County.
